Such a swinging rhythm section, and great solos all around, but what stands out is Cannonball’s solo. He gives an absolute CLINIC on how to use accents and ghosting to perfectly convey true jazz swing concept, not to mention his mastery of melody and harmony. He’s in a league of his own.

Getz was out of his depth with Trane there. It is sad that Wynton Kelly stepped aside for this (at the start), because Peterson's style is most unsuitable for Trane. Trane's solo is one of his best.

This track is one of my very favourites. Best of the best. I imagine John coming home after a gig , undressing, bathing, sitting in a chair and watching his wife sleep, covering her shoulders, getting into their bed and watching Alice his wife breathe and sleep. This track has such wonder, sensuality, languor, care and reassurance in their love. Beautiful stuff.❤❤

Sounds like that might be Sammy's original arrangement; I think he reworked it a bit before it was published because I can hear several differences.
